A real friend......

There are moments when your work gratafies the soul. Phil Ventura has become a friend as well as a great contact in Iraq. He has an excellent sense of humor and is representative of the finest of our young people serving the USA. In my 28 years of broadcasting, the most satisfying has been the 7AM segment where we heard the voices from Iraq. We are a truly blessed nation to have such men and women serving the cause of liberty.

My prayers and thoughts will be with them always.

Oh, yes, I think we could stick that head along side the hydrant where the neighborhood dogs can properly salute Saddam/

Hi Moe,

Sorry to hear about WRKO's decision to make a programming change regarding your show (I can't bring myself to use the "f" word in relation to it).
I'd like to thank you for not only being so generous to us here at MNFI with your airtime every Saturday, but for how you treated all of us and even formed friendships and made us feel like part of your show's family.
I've written and re-written this email a couple of times to let you know how much I appreciated getting to know and work with you over the past five months and how our Boston-area soldiers would literally fight over who gets to interview on "The Moe Show," every week, but come up short in sentiment and acceptable grammar.
We'd like to send along a few tokens of appreciation to you from here.
What is a good address for you, please? Can your home accommodate a large Saddam head, by chance (see attached photo for dimensions)? Take care and please stay in touch,
1Lt Phil Ventura

Another of the friends we made in Iraq...they're the best...

Hey, Just got the word...ya know I had a flashback 25 years to when thesame station canned Dale Dorman and the rest of the gang I used to listen to the same exact way!

Let me know when you get another gig and go syndicated!!!!

Best of luck, now we have an excuse to drink at least a six pack when I get back!!!!

Thanks for supporting the troops.

A tribute to Moe
L:TC Chuck Perenick in action in Baghdad preparing for the Moe Lauzier Show

Note to my friend Chuck --- The Sam Adams Winter Larger is especially good this year.

Another old freind heard from....

Moe, the last time you took a hiatus from Saturday mornings, I talked with you about hooking up with some other station. You stayed loyal to wrko and stayed with the gardening show. If you have no other contractual ties, you should get on another local station. You'd croak rko on Saturday mornings.

When (not if) that happens, let me know so I can subscribe to sattelite radio.

This might be a blessing in disguise for me too. It was tough enough, but worth it, to get up at 6am.

A noon EST gig would be perfect for me.

Keep THE FAITH.

Frank, I have no obligations. The loyalty ended at sign off Saturday morning.

Once a producer, then the boss.

Moe...
Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you. It is truly the end of an era. You are a consummate professional and have provided many hours of great talk radio to listeners throughout New England. What you have accomplished can never be taken away from you.

My best to you and your family. Keep watching for Arthur to be at the plate one day at Fenway.

Paula is one of the finest people I've come to know at WRKO over the years. Another product of the Mel Miller School of broadcasting....
Hey Moe,
Discovered you 14 years ago when WHDH merged into WRKO, and I used to work Sat. mornings and tuned you in and grew to like you a lot. I don’t always agree with you, I think you are a bit more libertarian than me, but we do agree probably 90% of the time, which ain’t bad, and have always appreciated you being there. Will always remember and appreciate your being there for us during the 2000 election scandal and right after 911. Also appreciate your 7am hour when you interview our men and women in Iraq. I don’t think anyone, even on a national basis has been doing what you did. You have a lot to be proud of Moe.

WRKO has no idea what it’s doing. Seems like forever they’ve been monkeying around with your schedule, they tried moving it forwards, then cropping an hour off, then taking you off Sat’s and only having you on with Jim Z. on Sundays, then brought you back and eventually back to your regular 6-10 slot. That was till last year, I had a feeling that something was up when they stole an hour at the end off. Well in the end it is our loss Moe and will eventually be WRKO’s loss. I hope you wind up someplace better up the dial and hope you will let us know where you wind up.
All the best to you Moe. Take care and hope to hear you again soon.
Joe, Burlington, MA

Mo,

It has probably all been said in more poetic terms...
I am a bit younger than you, but in the same stage of life...
The world is moving faster & I am beginning to slow down...
I go to the grocery store & can't find products that I have relied upon
for decades (have you tried to find just plain, waxed floss
lately?)...
I look for something every day to ground me as I try to stay afloat in
this ever-changing world...

One of my 'grounders' is/was Mo on Saturday mornings helping start my
weekend with topical chatter, laughter & poignancy. My Saturday morning
wake up.
I remember the birth of your son. I loved sharing the stories of your
grandchildren. These last 18 months I've made sure the radio was on by
7 so I could listen to the real heroes...so I would not forget in the
bustle of my own life. I learned even more than my Dad taught me about
how the game of baseball is played.
I have listened to talk radio for many moons, back to Jerry Williams. I
listen to many of the stations because I want to hear all the views.
I have never called a talk show. I have never written/emailed a talk
show host. But I could not be silent now. I have to thank you for the
many years of education, entertainment & friendship.
Your show was my favorite, Our own local 'Prairie Home Companion'.
Sophisticated, yet folksy. You ranted & raved with love & laughter &
courtesy (unless the person was a real #$^&*). You never seemed so full of
yourself that you didn't let your caller have his/her say. That is a lost
art.
Just a week ago at lunch with a few friends your show came up during a
political discussion. We commented on how we looked forward to
Saturday's Mo-slant on life.
I remember thinking after the Patriot's debacle that Mo would have to
apologize to that older woman who called up with a really low score
prediction!
There are many, many of us who will miss you. Keep my email address &
let me know when you get back on the air. Who knows where this road may
lead. You could always become the color man on baseball broadcasts.

I am feeling pitiful for myself. I will miss our Saturday mornings
together. You, however, have the gift of seeing the glass half full & will
come out of this situation by 'sticking' your landing. You have a great
family & many friends (as you have regaled us with stories over the
years) to help you through the shock & aftermath.

I wish you well & good health.
May the laughter, love & insight that you have brought to us all these
years rebound back to you in triplicate.

A longtime fan,
Pat

All the best. May we hear from you for another great 25 somewhere else. 96.9FM?

Just a short note from a long term listener- I am saddened that I will no longer have your show to wake up to on Saturday mornings. Best of luck to you - you will be missed on Wrko!

Dear Mo Lausier: I have listened to you for so many years, includingthose hilarious shows with Jim Zoppo, and I want totell you how much I appreciate you and love you. Yourepresent all that is good about our country, ourculture, our faith in God and Savior and each other.Your love of your family, your wife, your childrenand the life with them that you have shared with usover the years has been priceless to me and to manyothers. WRKO is only as good as its broadcasters, and while they had you, they had a first quality show. Newowners bring in new values, and, alas, the new valueshave opened the gates to lesser talent. I have utmost faith that God Almighty leads those whowill follow, and I pray you are following His lead nowas in the past. Many lessons in love of country, love of family, loveof others have come to us from you. Indeed, I thinkof your work on the radio as a ministry to yourlisteners. With deepest affection and appreciation I urge you toperservere even as you let go of those who cannotlive in the high standard of broadcasting you represent. God has work for you to do--I pray youwill press on with joy and fulfillment. I will be listening for you wherever you are. Love and blessings to you and all your family,

Your loyal fan for many years hi Moe, I loved your show. I listened faithfully and found reasons to be in my car to hear it up here in NH. I am 51, and have listened to talk radio since using the home made crystal radio by my pillow growing up in mattapan in the 60's. our neighborhood claim to fame? woo woo's brother lived next door. I hope to hear you in some fashion and trust if you get a show somewhere you will post it. this site is on my favorites. I would never listen to that canned crapola syndicated radio. and a restaurant getting a free plug because they bring the host in food that may have cost them $20 is low. i was a BZ listener way back when and i guess it was jerry williams coming back in town that got me to RKO. I never ever listen to music in the car, my options are getting slimmer every year. "local" talk radio is going away for the most part i am afraid.
Good luck to you Moe.

Hey, Mo; I just don't understand what is going on; that RKO can let you go and still retain that mindless criminal/politician, Finneran. It is a double-disgrace for them. Don't let the bastards win; how about WBZ, or the station at 950 am; I know they are basically religious, but they have Dr. Slessinger and others on. Many, many listeners will follow you there. WRKO is so stupid, really. At times I have been listening to Coast to Coast, and they will have a great show on. Then suddenly, at say 3 or 4 am, they put on one of those insipid, phoney infomercials. What an insult to one's intelligence. Find a space for yourself; we need your voice. You're a great guy; don't want to lose you. Too young to retire. Love ya, Paul , Wakefield I'll be checking your website for hope of a return. For 25 years we could tell it was a Saturday morning, because there would be Moe Lauzier's voice. We did not always agree with you, but always appreciated your passion and decency. We will miss you.
Good luck.
Elise and Marvin

Moe: Say it ain't so! No need to respond to this e-mail. I just wanted to let you know that I very much looked forward to listening to your show on Saturdays. Hang in there and don't give up! I fully expect to hear your show on a new station. I have gleaned the following mantra from some of the soldiers that you have interviewed: "keep going!" You'll land on your feet so get past those pillars of self-doubt and do what you do best: engage minds. Warmest wishes.

Moe,

I am one of those people whose mother listened from the beginning and I have followed. For the last 25 years I have greatly enjoyed you. I can't believe it this is ridiculous. I don't like the changes that are happening at RKO at all. My husband and I always enjoyed listening to you on Saturday mornings and we'll really miss you. I hope to find you somewhere else on the dial real soon. Until then enjoy your time off and good luck with your future.

Very upset,

Moe:
I was sorry to hear about your unceremonious, tacky firing at RKO. What a bunch of classless jerks.
Anyway, I’m sure that you’ll land on your feet.
If TKK has half a brain, they’ll hire you for the same Saturday morning slot. That would be sweet.
Be well and stay healthy.
You’re one of the good guys.
Bob

Dear Moe:

So many years, so many memories! Remember when you bought a GMAC SUV and your bride
didn't want to "drive around in a truck"? And when the same bride gave you a son!!!
So many things to say 'thank you' to you for so many years. When my Marine grandson was in
Iraq, what a help it was for us to listen to your interviews with men who were there!!

Moe, i can't imagine what a blow it was to be fired in such a hateful manner, but what a great
example you set in your gentlemanly farewell!! Well done, old dear.

I am going to write to that boob Wolfe .... I am so sick of how low WRKO has fallen, after the
years of you, Jerry Williams, Gene Burns. I had hoped that Howie would be gone: his blue material
is really all he has going for him now. Todd's replacement is way over his head, poor man. And
so.............bye, bye, WRKO. Stay with us online, please. I looke forward to the book.

Ever grateful, Virginia

Dear Moe, I was really sad to hear that you will not be on sat. mornings anymore. One of my favorite things on sat mornings was to turn you on as I did my "chores" and sometimes just having my cup of coffee while still in bed just being lazy and enjoying the interesting ideas that were being discussed. I especially liked it when you talked about your son and his love of baseball. After 2 girls and being 40 I had my son who also liked baseball. Our boys were about the same age. My son turned 21 this Nov. My brother in law is Charlie from Newburyport and it was always fun to hear him call and discuss an issue with you. You will be missed by me and lots of others. Remember when God closes a door he opens a window. It is a saying that I especially like. I was glad to read your to do list. I will look forward to the book you are finishing up and the books to follow. Take care and good health to you and your family. An admiring fan, Mary Ann

Moe, My wife and I wake up and listen to you every Saturday morning while we are in bed. The only time I turn you off is when I am paying more attention to my wife than you. Afterward, we put you right back on for the rest of your morning show. We both loved your show and will not listen to WRKO on Saturdays again. We wish you god's speed with getting back on the air on Saturday mornings. We love waking up to your voice, humor and common sense talk. Rick & Bobbie

Dear Moe,

We are so sad and, yes, angry that WRKO has terminated your program. We woke up to your program every Saturday morning and we have been listening to you for years, probably ever since you began there. We have always thoroughly enjoyed your intelligence, honesty, candor, humor, and very interesting programs. We may not have always agreed with you but we did most of the time. We loved the fact that you interviewed the soldiers in or who had been in Iraq, and treated them with great respect. In fact you always treated reasonable callers with respect.

We enjoyed hearing about your wonderful family and we remember when your son was born and loved "watching" him grow up into a fine young man. We even loved hearing about your dog Woof.

You always took on hard issues and never tried to hide from controversy.

It is terrible the way that WRKO has treated you and we will certainly call them tomorrow and let them know how we feel. They are ruining the station, especially with boring and inane infomercials. As soon as any infomercial comes on we change the station. Most people probably do the same. We doubt if anyone listens to them.

WRKO is the big loser, but we are losers too because you have become like part of our family and we are going to miss you very, very, much.

We wish you and your family all good things and know you will come back from this stronger than ever.

God Bless You.
Sincerely,
June and David

I wish you good luck .... and I thank you for all the interesting times .... take care and God Bless .... ---- iris

Hello Moe:

Like many other regular Saturday listeners, this week I was outside shoveling snow while WRKO was apparently shoveling a huge pile of the brown stuff your way. Absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable, though not surprising given the current mismanagement the corporation seems to be struggling with.

I learned so much through listening to your shows, from current events to politics, and most especially on being a gentleman. I'll particularly miss your interviews from our troops in Iraq; they gave me a positive perspective on the entire situation that I never would have imagined I'd have.

Thanks for 25 good years, Moe. I'll perhaps remember your holiday shows best, hearing Arthur grow up on the air waves! I'll continue to check your site frequently to see what's happening.

Take good care of yourself . . . and remember that you have lots of friends out here who wish you well.

Hi, Moe
I'm a long time listener of your show, which I absolutely loved and am so sorry to hear the news. It's like losing a personal friend. You are one of the few local talents (and I UNDERSCORE 'talent') who is NEVER afraid to take a 'punch'..or hand one out! This is not the way I wanted to accompany my Sunday cup of java, but I had to say thank you. One reason that I was so addicted to your fanatical ramblings (hehe) is that my son was born the same month as YOUR boy! So, we all were 'family' of sorts! Thank you, mon ami, thank you so much. You're missed already.
~Chuck in Quincy

Dear Moe,
I slept in 'til 6:30 a.m. yesterday (Feb.23rd, 2008 ), so
missed the first half hour of your show ; then had to shovel
snow (yuk) , so missed the last 15 mins. After reading your
Issues of the Day, I figured I had missed your announcement
during those two times. I kept moaning about that news and
wondering "what the heck did I do to deserve THIS !!! Then I
considered the possibility that you and your bride might be
retiring to some 'sunny clime'. Pulled up Issues of the Day this
a.m. and read your report of the ~~#%&%??#%~~ that rko pulled!!
(Intentionally did not capitalize the station). I have been an avid
listener for many, many years...even before your son was born !!...
O.K., I'm older than you are !!!
I surely am going to miss you and certainly hope that a radio station
that we can pick up here in New Hampshire will sign you on.
Also, am unhappy to be missing your interviews with our brave
ones in Iraq. Many, many thanks for creating that segment.
Glad that you're continuing Issues of the Day....we've gotta'
have that !!!!
Luv ya', and gonna' miss ya',
Joanie .
Goffstown, N.H. 03045

Dear Moe -
I was listening yesterday but not for the entire show because life (and my young children) calls, when I read the morning paper that you had been let go in the manner you were, it made me sick.
Turning you on in the morning before my kids get up and we run off to basketball practices or what ever is on the agenda most Saturday mornings was part of my weekend routine. I enjoyed how you hear everyone out who calls and respond in a very 'common sense' way. We have lost all common sense in this world and it was always refreshing to hear you.
I have written to the station and will no longer listen on the weekends - the addition of Finneran and Reese has already changed my week day morning listening as well, I can 't stand either of those guys.
WRKO is making bad choices which will ultimately do them in. If they want the morons who spend all day listening to info-mercials let them have 'em.
Good luck with your book(s) and to your son with is baseball and your entire family. I hope we have not heard the last of you.

Hello Mr. Lauzier,
I've listened to your program for years, after everything that has happened at WRKO in the past few years, they've become masters at shooting themselves in the foot. I am deeply sorry the cowards at WRKO cut your program. I will miss hearing your conversations with our troops in Iraq. I'm a reservist with friends in the sandbox, and it makes me feel good when a talk show host talks to our troops on the air. Rush and Howie were the only times I listened to WRKO during the day, and I would turn you on while on my way to work on Saturday morning. I am going to be removing 680 from my presets. Good luck Moe!
Sincerely, Leigh

Moe –
Just wanted to let you know how much you will be missed. The number of emails you must be receiving is a testament to
just what you meant to the people of New England , never mind the hundreds of other lives you touched through baseball.
I hope when Jason Wolf’s time comes (and IT WILL), he handles it with the same dignity and class that you did.
I will keep constant vigil on Issues Of The Day to see what station I will be listening to you next.
Best of luck.
Peter From Bedford .

Moe
:It was with a deep sense of disappointment that I learned that you will no longer be broadcasting on Saturday morning. With few exceptions, you were a welcome voice every Saturday morning as I was either chopping wood, working in the greenhouse or, weather permitting ,cleaning a barn. There is nothing like doing that kind of work and,at the same time, listening to you and the callers expressing their views.I think you deserve a great deal of credit for making the calls to Iraq available to hear each week.I canot imagine myself, under any circumstances, listening to infomercials. In a sense we have a bond of sorts. My son is a Navy SEAL and your daughter a member of the finest army in the world.Again,Saturday mornings will not be the same for me. GOOD LUCK !!!
Frank

I've listened to you for years and can't believe what has happened!
What is wrong with WRKO? You have been there for them so many times. I remember when you worked every night until midnight. I remember those Sunday mornings you were with Zoppo. Your loyalty and reliability has been unmatched. They don't make them like you anymore! I'll check your site frequently.
Best of Luck & Health,

Dear Mr. Wolfe,
Congratulations! You have finally succeeded in alienating me to the extent that I will no longer listen to WRKO under any circumstances.
I was annoyed when you hired an admitted felon and incompetent hack, but I resolved not to listen to him and leave it at that.
I was annoyed with the Howie Carr fiasco, and Entercom's ham-fisted handling of the situation, but Howie came back and I left it at that.
I was annoyed with Entercom's treatment of a very loyal employee, Todd Feinberg, whose crime was doing everything that management asked of him, and doing it competently. When he disappeared, I was annoyed but left it at that.
I was astonished when Entercom hired a hip-hop New Yorker to host its ten a.m. slot. I gave Reese a listen because I felt I should, however it became immediately apparent that he was in over his head and did nothing for me.

The firing of Moe Lauzier is the last straw. You didn't even have the decency to fire him yourself. A 25-year employee who also did his job competently and responsibly and you sent a producer to let him go. What courage! What decency! What a gutless coward you must be! And a coward without a sense of decency or morality to boot.
Today I realized why you are surrounding yourself with incompetents and hacks while getting rid of good, talented broadcasters. It's because that's all you know – incompetence and hackery.
You've not only lost me as a listener, I plan to boycott WRKO's advertisers and tell them why I am no longer a listener. You could screw up a one-car funeral, Mr. Wolfe. Congratulations.

Moe Thank you for all the enjoyment you have given me over the years I stopped listening to RKO when they hired Fineran except on Saturday Mornings When you were on I'm a 51 yr old retires Army Ssg who very much enjoyed listening to the troops you had on from Overseas every week it did my heart good to know that there is so much more going on over there than what is being reported. I found a Station on the Cape that reaches to Marshfield where I live, to bad you couldn't catch on with them the radio waves need people like you and Howie Carr and the people on the radio @ Wttk 95.1 FM thats where I listen to howie now since Finneran was hired I wish you a lot of luck I used to run into Jerry Williams at the Post Office and we used to chat often I feel like now there will be another void with you gone. Thank you again

Hi Moe:
I am sorry to hear that your show was so unceremoniously canceled. You are a class act, and certainly didn't deserve to be treated that way. This is just another example of how Entercom regards its employees. Maybe they could use some Ever Cleanse, but then there would be nothing left of them. Enjoy the time with your family, you always conducted yourself with grace and dignity, and they can't take that away.
All the best!
Chuck, Newton MA.

Moe
Tell the bosses at WRKO that Saturday mornings are a delight with you on the air. Do they know what they are doing by letting you go??????
Tom
Shrewsbury, MA

Hi Moe;
I just read the news in the Boston Herald -- I was surprised, but not shocked, with the way talk-radio has been going.
Right, I wake up with my radio on every morning, set to WRKO or WTKK and hear infomercials coming into my subconscious. I bolt up yelling, "Hey, infomercials -- I've waited all week for them!" I can clean out my intestines, "loose 15-25 pounds that dieting or exercise won't eliminate." Wow, that makes my day (for a Saturday morning for about the 4th of 5th month anyway! If I missed it back in November, I just caught it again before switching over or off!
You did a professional job, especially if you got your notice just yesterday morning while on the air. I had your program on (had switched over from TKK's intestines cleaning advisory at 0500), and you didn't miss a beat -- I only learned about it this morning, had not even a clue. Nice job, buddy.
If you recall, yours was the first radio talk show I ever did, back in 1985. I'd just walked out of Jerry Williams' office heading home. Jerry had just promised me that -- if I simply filled the Committee to Repeal the Mandatory Seat Belt Law -- that I'd never have to do any public speaking; he'd handle all that. Public speaking then was a bigger fear for me than swimming with hungry sharks or being caught inside a burning building. He'd just promised me! I never got out of that Brookline Ave. studio without you cornering me for your next program, the following Saturday morning.
I recall driving into WRKO in the dark, chewing my fingernails that morning. I remember facing off with a nurse who supported the MSBL. I looked at the clock on your studio's wall, wondering how I could make it through a whole hour with tens of thousands listening. Your program started, I got lost in it and the next thing I knew you were thanking us for being with you! I wanted to keep going -- couldn't believe our hour was up!!! I was good-to-go after that experience.
Best of luck, whatever you do next. Let me know. You've been a good friend to us citizen-activists for almost a quarter-century, when we needed your voice and 'RKO's signal. Until now I thought you were a fixture there.
Chip Ford --

Moe, just wanted to say thanks for all you have done over the years for bringing to a forum issues that otherwise may have been swept under the rug! Once again WRKO and especially that rat b****rd Jason Wolf have let us "talk insiders" down again! Moe,may God bless you and your family you will be missed!

Hi Moe --
I was shocked to hear of your dismissal from RKO. And after 25 years management didn't have the decency to tell you themselves. Below see the email I just sent to RKO programming.
Thanks for all the years at RKO; I hope I'll be hearing you again soon!!
Geo.

My message sent today to RKO programming:
What's best for RKO? Don't dump veteran local talk show hosts only to fill the time with meaningless info-mercials. I don't need to hear any more snake oil ads and absolutely will not waste my time listening to hype about vitamins, hair transplants, colon cleansers, etc etc etc. RKO programmers are following the path of the lemmings.
Geo.

Hi Moe,
I tuned in late during the show yesterday and still can not believe this has happened. I have never called your show but always listen. I am only 44 years old but have always enjoyed talk radio even when i was yery young. There is always someone very special in the business that you just can not forget. Larry Glick was the one that first got me interested in talk radio. I could not fall asleep at nite unless I was listening to him. Another farorite of mine for 30 + years is Eddie Andelman. Could not miss a Sunday nite sports huddle show. Last but not least is YOU. We have a small camp in Maine and I always listen to you on the way up. The drive will never be the same. I just dont know how to thank you for the many hours of listening to your great voice on the radio. I am hoping that you will pop up at another station, but in closing would just like you to take some time for yourself and wish you the best od health and luck in the future. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTON.

Mo,
Sorry to see you go I didn't agree with you all the time but I'm sure going to miss you.
I want to wish the you the best in what ever do, hopefully picked by some other station.
God Bless

Hi Moe-
I've listened to you since High School (I'm now 38). There will no doubt be an unfillable void on Saturdays. Good Luck. Not that this is any consolation, but I'm a friend of Jason Wolfe's. Needless to say, I've given him a piece of my mind as a result of this news. Good luck and hope to hear you back on the airwaves soon.
Phil D Stoughton

Hi Moe,
I listened to you every Saturday morning on my way to the gym. I would then continue to listen to you as I drove around the northshore doing my errands. Your voice will be sorely missed. Hopefully, it will not be missed for long. In the Herald article, you said, "I'll probably end up somewhere." I am looking forward to that.
Thank you, Mary Kate
Moe,
I'm sorry to hear about being cut from WRKO. Even though I didn't agree with you on a lot of topics, I still respected you. I respected you so much that I would tune in religously every Saturday Morning. I would wake up early Saturday while my wife slept in. My kids would then get up and turn on the Saturday morning cartoons. I would walk around in my house with my walkman and headphones listening to you entertain and stimulate me with the topics of the day.
I too lost my job on February 15th. I feel very confident in my abilities that I will be able to land another job soon and so should you. You are a damn good talk show host.
Good Luck,
Brian

Hi Moe
Don't know if you ever got a little collectable truck I sent you a few years ago, but if you didn't give me an address that I could send it to if you didn't.......
I run a video transfer business, and you were the first Jock on rko that i used for advertising....It was under American Video.......Since then we have Changed to Hollywood Productions...But because of you and Alan Darey...from XKS at the time......we have generated thousands of customers who are happy we exist.......
I listened to you on Saturdays every chance I get......being an Arch conservative and a volunteer in the Reagan campaign many years ago see picture......I sure am going to miss you......maybe 969 fm can use you on Saturday am........they run conservative talk......
anyway....
I do forward interesting political emails to you once in a while
hope to continue to talk to you
call me anytime
Richard

Moe:
You will surely be missed, while I never called your show, I was a faithfull listener for MANY years. On holidays whenyou brought in your children was a treat. For all the dedicated years you gave to RKO to have them treat you like they did was truely a shame. Good luck in your future endeavors.
A Faithfull Listerner.

Moe,
Ever since John DePetro was fired and Peter Blute was let go , this
station has gone downhill. It was amazing how they tried to keep
Howie Carr hes that stations only salvation now. Ad of course the
hiring of finneran sheesh.
Well you will be missed on sat mornings, have listened to you for
years. Hope to hear you again soon let us know.
sincerely,
Mary Ann

Mo,
I wanted to drop you a note to tell you how disappointed I was to hear the news. I've spent countless hours on Saturday mornings enjoying your show, and even had the honor of filling in for you a couple of times. Thanks for being such a kind a gracious gentlemen to a newbie like me. I wish you well in whatever is next.
Kevin

Management of WRKO,I have been a loyal fan of WRKO Radio since it switched to talk radio. I realize that as time goes by hosts come and go. I remember the greatness of Jerry Williams, Gene Burs, I remember Ted and Janet and all of the other wonderful people that have been a part of WRKO. Moe Lauzier is in my humble opinion the best that you have ever had as a host. He has the most common sense approach to life and it's problems. He treated every caller as a friend. Moe had class the way he signed off yesterday morning. It is more than I can say for WRKO Management. As a result of being offended the way Moe was let go PLEASE remove my name and email address from your WRKO Insiders list. I will not be listening to your station in the future. I will miss it but I feel it necessary for your listeners to make a statement on the way you handle your employees.A Former Loyal WRKO listener,
Bob Derry, NH

We moved to Orleans during the winter of 2001-2002 from NJ. I had never heard of Moe Lauzier, but I soon became an avid listener. I was upset when they cut down your hours! A few years ago we bought a small winter retreat in Beaufort, SC. I arose early every Saturday morning to listen to MOE via live streaming on the internet.
Despite living in offthewall liberal MA., between you and Bill Benett we had some very thoughtful radio listening available to us. Now, you are both gone and I can't begin to tell you how disappointed we are.
We loved the fact that you were almost as old as we are and brought that perspective to issues. The amazing ability you have is to make that perspective fresh, new and young! Now we have only Howie and Rush. That's all very good, but you brought something very special into our lives.
I also enjoyed your love of baseball, that quintessential American game. Take care, Moe, and please email us if we will ever be able to pick you up on the radio or internet.
Thanks for all the wonderful listening hours.
Margy and Bill

Moe,
I have listened to your show for many many years. I am the early riser in my family and so I would listen to you in the morning. I have continued to become very sour towards WRKO. They have fired so many on air personalities that I loved to listen to. Most recently was removing Scotto and replacing him with Tom Finneran...No more do I listen to Wrko in the morning. With your departing there's only one show I will listen to, and that is Howie Carr.
And with each disappointment I email them about my anger and they have NEVER ONCE responded to me, which just leads me to believe they really don't care if I listen or not.
Good luck on your future. Hope you land on the air somewhere local soon, so I can listen to you.
A long time listener,
Gina, Woburn, Massachusetts.
Thanks for the mayonnaise on the hamburger bun trick - my kids love it. Best of luck with your book(s) and a long healthy future.

Mr. Lauzier,
This was indeed an interesting morning...I confess I do not listen to the radio as much as I used to but have always over the years enjoyed your broadcasts over anyone else when I do have time to turn on the radio.
You have a special way of talking about issues - very respectful and insightful - this is what I have always appreciated. Well...I turned on WRKO this morning for just a moment as I was moving my car to clear our driveway of snow and heard your very last words.
As shocking as it was to hear what you said I am glad that I tuned in at that very movement -it made me reflect on how fortunate I and so many others have been to have had the opportunity and privilege to listen to you. My Father has been a fan of yours since you started in radio and we have always talked about how you stand apart from all other hosts. I felt compelled to write (which is something I never do!) to wish you the very best - your voice will be missed!!
I have come to believe that things do happen for a reason and I am certain that you will find new and rewarding paths to explore!
Sue

Hi Moe,
I thought I was hearing things this morning when you were signing off! Then I thought you were ending your program with a joke .When I suddenly realized it was your last broadcast I sat "stunned" and I yelled to the radio "wait, come back, don't go"
The way you were told was a lot of (how do you say it)? UN GALA GALA
I'll miss sitting with you and my cup of coffee on Saturday mornings, but I will no longer have my radio on.
Good luck and get that book written for us.
Norma from Watertown (go gators)

Froam a very fatihful Saruday AM listener. You have give joy, education, pleasure, meaning to many lives. I will miss you and your show. Hopefully you will be back. Saturday AM just wont be the same. I will also miss the Iraq soldier interviews and your pont of view. Keep in touch so we know what is up wth you. Congrats and may God bless you and yours. Walter

Sent an e mail earlier, still upset at what's happened. Earlier, I sent an e mail voicing my displeasure directly to WRKO.
Just completed, forwarding an e mail directly to Entercom. I don't expect a reply. I don't expect them to reverse themselves. However, down the road, when WRKO has been reduced to a shell of it's former self, someone, just may, remember.
I had intended to enclose an extract for you, but, computers are not my forte'. It appears that it was sent, but a copy was not retained. I apolgize for that.
Regards,
Greg
Have been a fan of yours from day one. Thanks for all the years you
were on the air. Your son was born around the same time my son was
born, time does fly. WRKO is self destructing. Best of luck in you
new adventurres.

Dear Moe,
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! Those absolute idiots at RKO...what's the matter with them??? For many years I looked forward to listening to you on Saturday mornings. On Friday night, I thought, "Oh, good, Moe's on tomorrow morning, I'll set the radio in time to hear him."
There are not enough (or vile) words in the English language to describe the "suits" at rko. This is unconscionable. You were always "there" for me, and I loved to listen to all your rants, and I agreed with you on most issues. I especially enjoyed your shut-downs of idiot callers. If only that emotion could be transferred to the idiots at rko.
I so enjoyed your little stories of when you were a salesman; especially the one where you met the NH legislator years ago; he was a farmer and made only $100 a year for his service. You brought the true meaning of America with that and many more stories. Especially about your son, your 4 daughters, and the one that joined the service (how's she doing)? And the interviews with the soldiers in Iraq. A fine piece of work, and I learned a lot about what's really going on over there.
I can't think straight at the moment. I heard your announcement this morning when you said you were going to finish the last chapter of your book, do some traveling, and I knew it was the end. I sat up really fast in bed, unbelieving that the unthinkable happened. You are a Boston institution!!! You know what? What goes around, comes around, and maybe us listeners will get satisfaction when they experience what they did to you. Trust me. It will happen, and all us listeners will rejoice in their comeuppance.
I will so miss you on Saturday mornings!!! This is a travesty of major proportions.
I'll end with a Latin quote that my dad often uses: Non illegetimi carborundum: Don't let the bastards get you down.
Will you do another talk show elsewhere??? Please, please??!!! But perhaps you are too numb right now to think.
No need to respond to my e-mail; you have enough on your mind. Suffice to say I'M SO PISSED!!!
All the best,
Mary

Moe,
Just a quick note to someone I have listened to, and agreed with, for years.
I never called your shows, but was always listening.
I will miss you.
It was always a pleasure to turn on the radio when you were covering for (everyone), and hear your familiar voice.
Your weekend shows, Saturday mornings and the Gardening Show will be truly missed by many, many listeners including myself.
Ciao to you, and thank you,
Andrew J.

MOE,
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, YOU HAVE TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITES OUT OF ALL THE TALK RADIO I LISTEN TO, I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO YOUR SHOW EACH SATURDAY MORNING YOU MAKE SO MUCH SENSE AND WE BOTH AGREE ON MOST EVERYTHING. MY ONLY WISH WAS THAT YOU WERE ON MORE OFTEN. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME WHEN TIME ALLOWS. WOULD THERE BE ANY CHANCE THAT YOU WOULD BE PICK UP BY ANOTHER STATION IN THE BOSTON AREA? THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT YOU GAVE OUR TROOPS IN IRAQ. GOODBYE FOR NOW YOUR A GOOD MAN AND IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL FAMILY, ALL THE BEST TO YOU I WILL KEEP CONTACT THROUGH YOUR WEB SITE,
STEPHEN
Dear Moe :
First, my wife and I are very shocked that your brilliant Saturday morning career at WRKO has come to such a sudden, ignominious end.
This was an insult to you, your wife and family, your loyal audience and friends, and to those members of the armed forces in Baghdad, to whom you have introduced us during the last two years.
Second, you have been a voice of common sense and encouragement to those of us living in the Boston area, who feel that we live in an almost one party State.
Third, you were a source of courage and humour to me during the Clinton years. Since then, you have given President Bush credit, where credit was due,
and sensible criticism whenever that was needed. You have never let us forget that 9/11 happened, that we are at war, and that we may well be at war for many years to come.
Fourth, what I have called for many years 'the curse of the Clintons' still hangs over this land of ours. It has been poisoning the public and broadcasting discourse for far too many years. Our two political parties have let us down. One would have us surrender; the other is lacking in courage. Independent voices, such as yours, Senator Lieberman, Victor Davis Hanson, Mark Steyn, and Duncan Hunter - to mention a few - are drowned out by the appallingly low level of intelligence of many of the characters that dance about on our television screens every night. If they had been alive iduring the Second World War, many of them would have been locked up as quislings.
We are now being deprived of your voice, as we were deprived of Duncan Hunter's during the recent Presidential candidate debates. Mark Steyn is in trouble with the Moslem dominated Human Rights kangaroo courts in Canada. And, now the NYT/Clinton hate machine has begun to train its sights on Senator John McCain. Will there be enough voices of courage around between now and November to stand up to the vast crowds of swooning, fainting,
worshippers of the last alternative candidate, who would repeat the same mistake as Neville Chamberlain made in 1938 ?
We should all feel privileged that a man, tortured by the North Vietnamese forty years ago, and who has served his country every since, should be one of our choices to vote for in November. Why would anyone want to vote for someone, who wants to give a million of our tax dollars to a memorial to the Woodstock Rock&Roll Festival ? It is absolutely incomprehensible to me, and a sure road towards national suicide.
I beat you to Salman Pak though ! You won't remember that.
Get some rest. You deserve it. We look forward to your resumption of "Issues of the Day.com". And, this brings our best wishes to you for your success in your future ventures. J.Ruthven.Concord, MA.

Dear Moe,
So sorry to hear of your abrupt career change. I don't know how my Saturdays will be now. Just wanted to let you know how much you'll be missed...I'll also miss the trumpet wake up call. Remember when one door closes...another opens. Best of Luck!!A Listener In Taunton,MA
PS: I also miss you and Jim on the Garden Show where did that go????

Hello Mr. Lauzier,
I wanted to send a quick note of thanks for all the years of great programming that you provided to your listeners. I enjoyed your broadcasts every week. I especially appreciate the time you spent with our service men on the air. No one else does this to the extent that you do. You should be very proud of your service to our fighting men and women. Hang in there Moe. We are all aware of the nightmare that WRKO has become. You are one hundred times the man that the management suits at Entercomm are. And everyone knows it. I look forward to listening to you on your new station.
Sincerely, Tim, Franklin, MA

Moe,
What's going on!!! It isn't bad enough that your not on WRKO more and now I hear you are not going to be on at all.
Can you give me more information, when your able, of course. And what will happen to everyone else on the station?
I looked forward every Saturday to hear you. I suspect it's the PC crowd, but hope I'm wrong. Pretty soon we will have no voice.
I want to wish you many good things. Thank you for all the enjoyable hours of talk radio. God bless you and your family, and just maybe you may appear on some other talk show. You just never know.
Cha

Dear Moe:
I hope you do realize that you have been a tremendous force in a lot of people's lives and cancelling your show is the final straw of the stupidity by the NY suits.
I go back to the Paul Benzaquin et al days and while quite young really cut my teeth on expressing my ideas and standing firm for my convictions while listening to opposing views.
I remember when another group of NY suits bought the station and decided to change the whole format and completely drove a very successful station right into the ground as the faithful listeners and puchasers of advertised products went elsewhere for their entertainment.
I saw another corporation come in and buy the station and slowly build it up to the glory position it has held for a long time.
Recently it has become obvious that the new owners were in it all for the almighty buck no matter how they sold their human wares on the street corner. Good jpeople left either on their own or very unceremoniously. The hiring of a convicted felon who has no sense of sorrow for what he did and how he managed to slip out of doing jail time was the final straw of my keeping WRKO on all day long. I picked and chose and watched the Howie Carr battle closely. We all know he is the dollar man for the station and he tells it like he sees it. The entrance of a NY rapper style punk from the streets lost more of my interest. Now they have hit and run at you and they probably are going to try to shove more self interest hucksters down people's throats/ A word to the wise: "if you don't learn from history you are doomed to relive the pain of defeat again"
Once the Worcester station brings Howie back on for his full program I will be down to listening to the bloggers on Sunday night until they are gone and then WRKO will no longer make my list.
I intend to write to the advertisers to inform them the customers are leaving in mass and they would be wise to follow the purchasing dollars elsewhere. That's what works with this type of cheap operation.
I suspect the :little Worcester station" with its careful programming is growing little by little and soon will take over the big market. By then the punk suits will find a buyer and hit the rails leaving their debris behind.
Keep up your great ideas and rants they are molding a new generation and we need that foundation to hold this country together.
Enjoy your vacation in Florida. Maybe you could enjoy a cold one with Mr Steinbrenner. You see I am a die hard Yankee Fan!! Maybe I'll tell you why some day. But Yankees don't suck!! They live to win another day!!
Keep on Talking Moe you are not off the Air!!
Beth

I've been sick with whatever has been going around. Had your show on this morning but was dozing on and off when I thought I heard you say you'd been on the air for 24 years and you were going.
What on earth happened? Doens't RKO realize people like me tune out paid programming and most syndicated programming? Your lines were always busy. You're great at what you do. I can't believe these morons would be that stupid - although Finneren is still on the air.
Anyway, I'm heartsick. Every Friday evening I'd tell myself tomorrow Moe will be on. Other than Howie no reason to tune in there at all.
I'll start checking into IOTD daily, so I don't miss anything. And I'm hitting Save WRKO to see what they have to say and to leave my comments, which I'll be leaving with management on Monday.
Get back on a RI station; I can pull that in just fine. Saturdays won't be the same; Sundays haven't been the same since you got axed off those. Maybe Christie will buy a small station for you? I'll become your protege. Always wanted my own talk show.
I'm so sorry, Moe. You're a great guy, talented, knowledgable. Guess you and I aren't in the RKO demographics anymore. Please do keep in touch occasionally. You've been a part of my life for nearly half of it - I have valued every hour I spent listening to you all of these years no matter what time/days you were on. It was a wise investment of my time, and you will be sorely missed.
Now I'll have to throw my Saturday marble out without you.........
Fondly,
Andrea From Canton
MoeI've been with you since the beginning.I only called in once but I always felt like part of the show.I'm very disappointed with the cancelationI listened almost every Saturday and will definitelymiss hearing you I'll be checking your blogGood LuckGene

I most often sleep with WRKO on. Talk radio is proof that things are ok with the world, and if something is interesting I will wake and listen. The only part of your show that will not be missed is the rooster. I always liked Saturday mornings with your show. An infomercial will not be what I will listen to. It could drone on and on after the end of the world much as the scene in the movie "On The Beach" that had a window shade tied to to a morse code key moving with the wind.
Thanks for all the interesting talk. You will be missed.................. Jim

DEAR MOE:
I DON'T LISTEN EVERY WEEK, BUT GLAD I DID THIS AM SO I COULD HEAR YOU.
OVER THE YEARS I HAVE CALLED YOU A FEW TIMES, AND IT WAS A PLEASURE TO SPEAK WITH SUCH A FAIR MINDED MAN. WE SPOKE ABOUT MY GROWING UP IN SOUTH DARTMOUTH, GRADUATING FROM UMASS DARTMOUTH. I'M NOW A CPA IN WELLESLEY.
LOVE HEARING YOU, AND WISH YOU WELL. I'LL BE CHECKING YOUR SIGHT OFTEN.
YOU DID ALOT OF GOOD IN THE YEARS OF YOUR BROADCASTING. GOD BLESS YOU FOR THAT. STAY WELL, AND THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE TROOPS. MY MARINE SON IS LEAVING IN APRIL FOR HIS SECOND TOUR, AND I'M COMFORTED BY YOUR SUPPORT.
SINCERELY,
MARGARET

Dear Moe,
I have been a loyal WRKO listener since the days of Jerry Williams. I got hooked on talk radio because of him. On Saturdays, I could not wait to listen to you. You are my age and have a lot of my family values and family is the most important part of our lives.
I was saddened this morning when at 8:57 you announced you will no longer be at WRKO. What is this station doing with the best and brightest. The shake up a few years ago with Mary Blake and the rest of the crew was devasting. You and Mary bounced off each other. I loved listening to her voice doing the news. Glad she made it over at BZ. As for you, I will miss my Saturday mornings hearing about Helen, your girls and especially Arthur. I remember the day he was born. You were the proudest father. What a joy. I am the mother of 4 girls and they are my life along wih my better half of 44 years.
Moe, I hope you and your wife enjoy your retirement time together.
Jason Wolf should be ashamed of himself!!!!!!
P.S. On Thanksgiving and Christmas I listened to you while making our family dinners and breakfasts all those many year.
Switching to WTKK
GOOD LUCK AND MANY THANKS FOR MY SATURDAY MORNINGS

Dear Moe:
Saturday mornings will not be the same. I have gotten up for 6 am since you have been on the air. I have been very sad and will no longer be listening to WRKO. Thanks for all of the good years.
Sincerely, Gil/Eve

Hi Moe:
I Have just emailed management to let them know how I feel about your show going off the air and how low they were not to give you any notice. They have done a lot of mean tricks lately and this one takes the cake. They will sure lose their Sat. morning audience. Thank you for all the great shows and I wish you the best in your retirement. I’ll keep checking issues of day but I feel like I have lost contact with a good friend.
Sincerely, Elaine
You’ve been part of my Saturday mornings since … (ahem) a long time. I guess nothing WRKO does anymore can shock me. You will be sorely missed.
God bless,
Dan

Hi, Mo
Long time listener here...I'm going to miss you..been with you for the entire 25.
LMK your plans..
Larry
Waban, Ma.

Good Afternoon: I was listining to you this morning when you announced that this was to be your final show. I was hoping that this was a decision that you yourself had made. When I saw otherwise, I was so angry. I've been a listener for 25 years. This is the first time i've been moved to contact a station. Below, is a copy of an extract that I e mailed to WRKO a few moments ago.
Extract: e mailed to WRKO
Jason Wolfs decision to cancel Moe Lauziers Sat morning show - nevermind with no notice is nothing short of criminal. I have been a talk show afficionado since the early days of WRKO when Jerry Williams was first starting in Boston. WRKO had a made a name for excellence. The programing decisions that RKO has made in recent years has not lived up to those standards. As these changes came about, listening to RKO became less and less and less. I see little on the dial or on the horizon to prompt me to turn to RKO. By termininating Moe Lauzier, by not providing listeners a chance to say goodbye, RKO has done a diservice to Mr Lauzier, to the communiity at large, and to RKO itself.
I hesitate to say this, but WRKO would be better served by terminating Jason Wolfe and allow RKO to re-claim it's pre-eminence. I do not expect that to happen. I do not expect to have RKO on in this household any longer.
I've never, ever, written or called regarding a program. I've wanted to, but, never have. This termination is the straw that broke the proverbial camels back.
end of e mail to RKO.
Take care, good luck and may god bless you and your family. Hopefully, you will be back on the air, if not with RKO then with another station.
Enjoy
Greg

Mr. Lauzler,
I heard you mention this morning that you are leaving WRKO I am wishing you Contratulations and best wishes to you and your wife in your travels to Florida. I been listening to your program since 1986 I enjoy your program and look forward to Saturday morning for your show I try calling to speak with you but I always got nervous and hung up the phone. When you announce the birth of your son I started to call that morning and got nervous your son and my grand daughter is a couple days apart you was a happy father and I was a happy grand mother.
Again, enjoy your retirement and the writing of your book. I'm writing a few short stories on my life as I have been retired since 04 it is great to have some personal time and not have to rush.
Best wishes,
Phyllis

Moe,
I’m sitting here listening to your last words on WRKO. It’s a sad day for talk radio in Boston . I start my Saturdays listening to you in the morning and have always appreciated your point of view, humor, and ability to relate to the "common man".
Of course, your love for baseball and the Red Sox runs deep. And you were the one who helped my family to discover the Cape Cod league. We’ve spent many a vacation evening watching the Orleans Cardinals. The spirit of those evenings is priceless.
I was in Fall River several weeks ago and thought of you because of your multiple references to your home town.
I’ve called you several times but the most significant to me was Christmas Eve morning 2006. It was a beautiful morning as my wife kicked me out of the house to get the last few gifts. You had a caller who touched something and it occurred to me that IT WAS CHRISTMAS! You and the caller were recalling Christmas family memories. As I listened, my mood turned from sour to thankful as I thought of how I was shopping for those whom I love most – my wife and two children. And my childhood memories flooded back as I remembered my own father walking through the door with gifts, my mother decorating the tree, and my pestering sisters dancing around to the "Sugarplum Fairy" from the Nutcracker. The spirit of Christmas descended on me and I called you. Of course, you were very "patient" with my new found evangelistic Christmas fervor but I appreciated our short conversation. The South Shore Plaza didn’t know what hit it at 7AM.
I look forward to reading your blog. Thank you very much. You will be missed.
Thank you,
Kelly

Mr. Lauzier: I enjoyed your show over the years. I cannot believe the way you were informed. Jason Wolfe is a disgrace. I hope to hear you on another station soon.
Good luck and thanks.
Ed

Dear Moe,
I just read on your blog that you will no longer be on WRKO. I only listened to half your show today and then went out shoveling. How I wish management had the common decency to let you know sooner and I had known that it would be your last show. I never would have left the radio. I discovered your show a bit over twenty-one years ago just after my son was born, and right before Arthur's birth. Because my husband worked Saturdays, I remember being so glad to hear an intelligent, adult voice early Saturday morning, and have continued to listen and enjoy. I will truly miss you. As others have so rightly stated, you are a gentleman. Not only could I listen to your show with my children, I also often discussed it with my mother. I look forward to reading your blog, and hope that you will be on the air again soon. Moe, this is truly the end of a era.Take care, and thank you thank you thank you.
Sincerely,Kathy

Hi Moe!
My husband and I have been faithful listeners for all of your time at
RKO, and we thank you for the many hours of laughs, thought provoking
talk and patriotism. We are saddened to hear of your leaving. Your
hours were shortened ( Who needs another money show???), you were no
longer on the garden show( 'What a great combo)- I believe this could
happen as well. Our only consolation is that perhaps you decided to
spend more time with your bride children and grandkids.
We feel as if the station has lost its ability to connect personally
with the listeners. Were any of the "new" suits in charge even
around at 911, when you stayed on the radio for hours upon hours to
inform and comfort us? it was amazing- you held us all together. What
about your incredible ability to keep us going throughout the
Challenger disaster? ( To name a few....)
We'll be waiting and listening, Moe, and wish you the best.
With Respect and High Regards,
Kindergarten teacher

Dear Moe,
What WRKO doesn't realize that not only did they hurt you but they hurt thousands of faithful listeners like myself.
I hope Moe you don't feel you did anything wrong it is a sign of the unfortunate times. I am an Infomation System professional who works for a company in Needham that has laid off 20 percent of it's IT work force to source out IT in China. People complain to me all the time they can't undrstand these people and the level of support is not very good but the upper management only see's one thing. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ It is the unfortunate truth with our society. I will definately miss listening to you Sat mornings and you have shown a lot of guts and class when you ended your show you didn't lay into management of WRKO. I can't say I would have blamed you if you did.
Just wanted to let you know you didn't let us down. WRKO did!
Thanks for all those years you have given us with your insight.
Moe you are a true American.
Take Care,
Hank
I've selected a cross sample of the emails we have received during the last 24 hours. I began answering them individually but soon realized it was an impossible task. I'm truly sorry I can't reply to all, a day is only 24 hours long. I hope you understand the dilemma. The last name and email address of senders has been removed to protect the privacy of the senders. I will leave this web site up and add future letters to it as well as allow you to add whatever comments you wish (just click below) without needing to sign up with Google. You will only need to decipher the spam prevention code......Moe

Moe, I have listened to you for so many years and have always enjoyed your show. You are unfailingly a gentleman in every sense - even when the occasional knucklehead got you agitated. You were always well informed and entertaining, whether I agreed with the issue or not - though I usually did! And when you made your announcement today, you did it with real class. I'm not sure everybody could resist the opportunity to take a parting shot.Being a sales-beast for the last 25 years, I always felt that we had something in common beyond our political views. That just made the show that much better. You are hands-down one of the very best in the business. Your Saturday morning show was literally appointment radio for me. It was you, me and a cup of coffee, every Saturday. And when I was on the road, I'd get to an internet connection and keep the appointment.I have e-mailed my dismay to WRKO, though I'm sure it's too late for it to matter. The only decent local talent left is Howie, and it's clear that the battle with Entercom has taken some of the snap out his fast ball. I fear that Entercom is presiding over the death of WRKO as a meaningful talk entity in Boston. Before the hiring of Finneran, I always felt that WRKO was on the side of "us" - the little guy who needs a voice in the world. Jerry Williams was a real proponent of "us". He single-handedly created and nutrured the idea that the little guy could ave a voice, and if organized, could even have an impact. And the great Gene Burns was right there with him.But hiring a politician - especially a disgraced, convicted felon - revealed that the station isn't on the "us" side. It's not even on the "them" side. WRKO is solidly on the side of "WRKO". And they're even making a mess of that. I really believe that they're killing what was once the shining beacon of talk radio, and it is profoundly sad.I hope that WTKK is watching and has the presence of mind to make you an offer. And I hope that you accept it.I will really miss you on Saturday mornings. Good luck and God bless you in whatever you do.-- Charlie

We're surprised and saddened that you're leaving WRKO and what a nasty way for you have received the news. (Mr. Wolfe, shame on you for such shoddy treatment of an old friend.) Sour grapes seem perfectly okay under the circumstances! We always start our Saturday mornings with you on the radio and have for years. My first real recollection of you is when Arthur was born, we especially shared your joy because that was about the time of the arrival of our first grandchild. We've missed very few mornings with you since then.
We share your political views, appreciate your interviews with our brave soldiers and love hearing of your love of baseball and especially those winning Red Sox. Even when they weren't winning we all still had hope! Perhaps if you had managed the campaign for Christy Mihos Mr. Patrick wouldn't be the governor. You gave us all so many insights and possibilities.
I sent an email to RKO about a month ago complaining that your time had been shortened and the informercials they are currently running. Awful, awful things. I will do so again.
We will check in with Issues of the Day and hope to hear of you coming back on the air, somewhere, sometime. You have so much to offer. Meanwhile, enjoy your trip to the sunshine state with your bride and watching Arthur play baseball. Thank you for so many enlightening and enjoyable mornings and especially your strength and insights after 9/11.
Best wishes to you and your family

Dear Moe,
I wish you all the best. You are a great person and a great talkmaster. WRKO made a serious mistake. If they were smart, they would have canceled Finnerin's show and placed you in the morning drive time slot Monday to Friday. You would really give Imus a run. Hope you soon (after your Florida Vacation) get another gig in Boston (WTTK) or the Cape (95.1)
Your fans already miss you.
Unlike the management person who conceived the idea of how to inform you that your show was canceled, YOU ARE A CLASS ACT.
When your show ended, the infomercial financial show came on the air. Dead air would be an improvement over that infomercial. This is not a good trend for weekend radio. Time to turn on the I Pod.
I would like to thank you for giving me the chance to go on your WSAR talk show in 1982.. Less than a year later, you were on WRKO. When you called my office that July, I joked with my part-time secretary that you had called to invite me to appear on WRKO. When I returned your call, I was really shocked to find out that I was right. What a thrill for a young Fall River Lawyer to be a guest on a Boston Radio Talk show. I will never forget that day. Thanks again.
I wish you and your family all the best. Be well.
Rick

Hi Moe
Just read your blog can't believe they treated you like this I knew there was something wrong between 8 and 9 when u went to sports after 25 years I will add later just to upset
Peg and Chuck

Moe,
You will be sorely missed from the Boston Radio scene. You are probably the only radio person in Boston who could find Southeastern Massachusetts on a map. Certainly none of them know where Dighton is. It was always refreshing to hear some comments that touched close to home.
Saturday morning just won't be the same.
Some of my favorite memories:
Interviews with our wonderful service people in Iraq. You did a great service putting them on the air.
The 2000 election which dragged on forever and where it was "all Moe, all the time" on WRKO.
Then there was the Christmas a few years ago where you talked along for several hours with no phone calls. What a trouper! It must have seemed like an eternity. But, there was at least one person listening, me. I guess I should have called.
So long, my friend. Let us all know when you pop up somewhere else.
John
Dighton, MA

Moe,
It is with a true sad heart that I write this. I have enjoyed listening to you since I arrived in this state in 1989 from the backwoods of Oklahoma to go to school. Somehow almost 20 years later I am still here.... Damn! Time sure can pass you by.
WRKO is no longer a station I can listen too. Your removal was the final nail in a coffin that has been creepin' closed since a certain person took over morning drive. What was once a great station from the pioneering days of "Talk Radio" has now relegated itself to the ashtray of forgotten AM bands.
Until I find something else worth listening to on the radio I will now figure out how to operate my CD player in my truck.
I hope nothing but the best for you and if that best includes more radio than so be it! Of course, if I could or can be of any help......... just ask.
Ciao!
J.Mark

I can't say that I'm surprised that WRKO has treated you the way they did. I have no respect for this radio station. If it weren't for Howie's show I'd never tune it in at all. They take you off the air - a really decent person - and leave on for 4hrs/da, 5 days/wk a federally convicted felon! Along with you, I wish Christy Mihos would run again for governor. Thank you for so many wonderful Saturday mornings when you came into my home and made my day.
Love, Pat
PS I'll keep in touch by reading your blog, and my best wishes for all your future adventures.

Hi Moe,
I'm very sorry to see you go ! I woke-up every Saturday with you on WRKO, I enjoyed the (7am) various Servicemen from Iraq... SUPER !
I'm age 59, soon to hit the BIG 60....
I've been a Talk Radio Junkie since I use to listen to the Jerry Williams Show
on WMEX on my Crystal Radio Set, with the antenna attached the baseboard radiator in my bedroom, I was 10 years old ! I use to catch you on ( I think)
WHJJ when I was in RI, now I listen to John Deptro on 630 am...
I'm a Traveling Salesman like you were, my travels only took me around
New England, mostly selling High-Tech computer driven stuff, in the 1980's it was Fax Machines for Ricoh Corp... Now-a-days I do what I would call a Low-Tech
sale, mostly to Spanish speaking businesses for the last 8 years. It's a living, lots of miles, covering Ri, Hartford, Ma, Maine & NH. At least they give me .50 cents per mile plus expenses. The ONLY problem is I have to buy a New car just about every
15 to 18 months. I added all the miles I have driven by keeping records on each of the 41 cars I have owned , I have driven almost TWO Million Miles ! I try to keep the mileage on each car under 80,000 then trade them. In some tough financial times I had to keep a car to 150-170 miles... This is not the way to go as repairs get
severe money wise. On 2-20-08 I just picked up a New 2008 Ford Taurus, trading in my 2006 Mercury Montego ( same as Taurus) . This is the BEST one yet with a New & improved engine with 268 horse power ! ( from 200 before) The car weighs
3950 pounds, very Safe & now Fast ! My last 12 cars were Ford products.
Just for the record I use to communicate via-fax and E-mail with the Howie Carr show, they knew me as: " THE WASP" ... I have not listened to Howie for about two years, I find the Program VERY boring..now. I do find Tom Finnerin
VERY interesting however.. FAST-PASTED and Quick witted !
The Financial Guy that followed your show OH GAUD ! What a DRONE !
I kinda like Ellen , BUT as a Democrate.. she can Drive you nuts ! I KNOW what she needs.... a GOOD roll in the hay... HARD & FAST, maybe with duct-tape over her mouth ! Then Mary Ellen Burns, I find her interesting BUT she takes herself TOO
serious, today she got Pissed at some Caller, really over Nothing.. HE hung up on Her ! Lately I find myself listening to 850am, I do enjoy some of the shows.
There was NO-ONE on the Radio like Jerry Williams ! I did however ENJOY every minute of your Show ! (You & Jim were good too on Sunday's.) I was listening when Arthur was born, my son was born in August 1983, he is a good stable, drug & drink-free Church Going kid, with a nice church going girl friend I have had NO problems with him. I divorced my Cheating wife of 27 years in 1998, I got 100%custody of my son, he still lives with me, for now. I'm still single, She remarried.
I too like Cristie , too bad he did not become our Governor.. I listened with GREAT interest the day you guys talked about the NEW- High-Tech Wind Mills. There is a Solar Company in Newburyport , Ma. called Solar Edison, they have Solar panels & Solar CARS ! even a few Electric Cars. They are located on Bridge Road. There is a 100% electric car called the Tesler Roadster, made in California. This is a GREAT looking sports car that can go about 350 miles on a single charge, it does Zero to 60 MPH in under 6 seconds ! Two things, they have already taken all the orders they can for 2008, you have to wait until the 2009 model ! Oh, almost forgot
they do Cost $98,000.00 each.. ( two-seater)
I guess I have covered it all. I will miss you Moe on the Radio, But will be looking in on your Blog...

Best wishes, Nate
Moe,
The way you were terminated does not surprise me in the least. I don't have to extrapolate on that, I don't think. Thank you for the last 25 years of waking me up with "rise and shine". I will truly miss it in ways I can't adequately express. I don't really care much for WRKO anymore, and I suspect that I am not alone. That being said, I would like you to consider approaching WTKK for a Saturday morning show. Michelle McPhee already has a show 5 nights a week, and she also does Saturday mornings. I think you would be a perfect fit, although you might make Howie jealous! I'll miss you (hopefully temporarily).
Rich

Hi Moe,
Thank you so much for all the years you were on WRKO - it sure was a shock this morning to hear your farewell. Looks like they have lost a Saturday morning listener. I also stopped listening when Finneran's Forum came on.
I remember when your son was born - you were so delighted because of all the girls you had and now to know he is in college is unbelievable - where has the time gone?
Enjoy the time given you right now and give our Red Sox a hello for us and tell them we can't wait for them to come back to Boston.
Liked your farewell song but it made me cry!
The best to you and your family.
Pauline

Good afternoon Moe,
I am Charlie from West Newbury and George from Georgetown (my alias as didn’t want to get too well known on the air). I was deeply saddened today to hear of your departure from WRKO. I will miss your show terribly. Please enjoy your time off and maybe you could try to start something on the internet talk or other stations, you have a strong base of listeners and we are very loyal. I am urging WRKO to reconsider and in time who knows…I wish you the very best and good health my radio friend.
Take care and most sincerely,
Charlie

Hi Moe:
I have listened to you since your days at WSAR. I remember all those "crossover" chats you had with Mark Williams. That was local radio at its best! Back then, I was 16 or 17 years old. I’m 44 years old now. I know it’s a cliché, but I really grew up with you!
I’m sorry that WRKO has canceled your program. The "Talk Station" has made some really stupid moves lately. Your dismissal is just the latest. I strongly urge you to get those demos to WTKK, WBZ, and WPRO. You are a great host and I’m willing to bet you can find a gig elsewhere. If all else fails, I hope you would try WBSM or WSAR.
I’ll keep checking your site for updates!
Take care,
Chuck
East Freetown

So sorry to hear you are off air for now. I suspect you will be back some where soon. Enjoy the break and though WRKO really sucks in the way it handled it, at least it is baseball season!
It is pathetic how employers go like that. My close friend worked for a place in ?Cambridge for over 25 years and was laid off the Friday before Christmas. Company closed down! No warning, no nothing.
Please keep a chin up, enjoy the family and keep in touch. Although it is thought of as place for the young, myspace is a great venue for keeping in touch. You should check it out. We could get some real
issue discussions going there.
Anyway, that's for the years of listening. I remember listening right after 9/11 and how emotional that was.
Take care, keep in touch, best wishes
Maureen

Moe,
I can't believe the news. I feel so bad about what happened. I've been listening to you on Saturday mornings for years, and it won't be the same now. This is as sad as when Scott Allen Miller was forced out.
Best of luck to you in the future...and so sorry about the present.
D. R.

Moe,
I am totally in shock. I don't even know what to say. I guess I knew this day was coming, ever since they took you off of the gardening show. But had I known it that today's show was going to be your last, I would have taped it. We'll all miss hearing your voice every Saturday. I heard you say that you don't know what you're going to do with your time. Well, I don't know what I'm going to do with my Saturday mornings. When you've spent the last 10-15 years tuning in from 5-10, then 5:30 to 9:00, then 6-10, then 5:30-......well, you get the idea.......it's a tough habit to break.I've mentioned before that it would be awesome if you could do a broadcast over the internet. I've heard lots of independent radio shows through iTunes and none of them can hold a candle to you. I know that we'll still be able to get your musing from issuesoftheday.com, but it won't be the same as hearing your voice. Please, please, please consider doing an independent internet show. I'm sure, like me, lots of people wouldn't hesitate to subscribe ($$).I guess it makes sense for you to leave the station now. It always makes sense to jump ship before the damn thing sinks entirely below water. I'm not sure who's smoking crack while making the managerial decisions at WRKO, but I can now tell that it's the ad revenues from WEEI that are keeping WRKO from imploding.I guess you've heard enough from me now. I'll be checking issuesoftheday on a daily basis and also checking out savewrko.com (although I'm no longer interested in saving WRKO). Would you permit me to occasionally check in with you via email?Thank you for ALL of the wonderful, wonderful, years you have given us. You are an absolute radio treasure and that is a fact known to ANYONE who knows even a salt grain's-worth of talk radio. I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of listening all these years. Your listeners are forever in your debt.My eyes are filling up so I will sign off.THANK YOU......THANK YOU.......THANK YOU.........THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trish from Wollaston

Dear Moe,
This morning when,as usual, half asleep, I was unaware that this would be your last show.
Over the years I've looked forward to your Saturday morning show.
Your ability to bring a reasonable point of view to your listeners, was very
much what caused me to tune each Sat. morning.
I shall miss you,very much.
Good Bye "Old Friend "
Bill, Charlestown

Hi Moe, I just recently wrote you about the SAVE WRKO blog. On one of the discussion threads, posted by a correspondent named Charlie, today at 7:43 AM, well before your sign -off was a very nice mention of you. The URL is: http://www.savewrko.com/archives/2008/02/entercom_shares.php/lcomments His is the tenth comment in that thread.

Dear Moe,
I have been listening to you for many, many years. No Saturday morning would be completed without my tuning into 680 to hear from you. I never called. However, I always listened. I wish you well. I remember when you announced that your son had been born and I am happy that he is doing well.
Are there any chances of you "tagging onto another local station"? You have a solid following.
Best of wishes to you and your family,
Kevin (From Dover, MA)

Dear Moe,
I sadly missed your unannounced departure message because my wife had asked me to find something, which I had gone to do. When I returned, she gave me the news that you were finished on WRKO. I almost couldn't believe it.
But 'RKO has definitely been sliding downhill of late ... Tommy Taxes on weekday mornings, now you, unceremoniously gone on Saturday. The writing was perhaps already on the wall, though, when they took away your 4th hour some time back.
My wife, Irma, and I are very disappointed and will miss you tremendously, but sincerely hope that you will continue to have a happy life with your family and friends. I would think that the weekly radio show and it's preparation has to be a strong restriction on your freedom of action and the use of your time. Hopefully you will enjoy your freedom as much or more than we enjoyed what you shared with us each week. I wonder what will happen to the wonderful contact chain you have developed with the armed service personnel overseas.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. We look forward to any news you can share about what happened and might be happening in the future.
Very sincerely,
Randy (and Irma)

HELLO MOE:
I WAS VERY SADDENED TO HEAR YOUR SIGN-OFF THIS MORNING. I'VE LISTENED TO YOU FOR THE ENTIRE 25 YEARS. I SERVED IN THE MASS. ARMY NAT'L GUARD FOR 29 YEARS. AS YOU KNOW FROM HAVING A GUARD MEMBER IN YOUR FAMILY, WE GET UP VERY EARLY ON DRILL WEEKENDS. SO YOUR "RISE & SHINE" GREETING STILL RINGS IN MY EARS. YOU'VE ACCUMPANIED ME ON MY DRIVE TO THE ARMORY ON BOTH SAT. & SUN. MORNINGS WHEN YOU WERE BROADCASTING ON BOTH DAYS. LATER I EVEN LISTENED TO THE GARDEN SHOW ON SUNDAYS. YOU ARE A TRUE PATRIOT AND A GREAT AMERICAN. I'LL MISS THE INTERVIEWS WITH OUR SOLDIERS SERVING IN IRAQ. THANK YOU-THANK YOU. GOOD LUCK & GOD SPEED. PLEASE LET US KNOW WHEN YOU SIGN FOR A NEW GIG. I'M SURE WBZ MIGHT BE LOOKING FOR A NIGHT-TIME TALK SHOW HOST, OR MAYBE WTTK-AM. IN THE MEAN TIME, WE'LL MISS YOU.
RON

Moe,
Thanks for 25 years of listening to you. You are the type person that makes the USA GREAT!Words can't describe how much wisdom that you have imparted on your listeners.Enjoy your time in Florida with "Your Bride". Enjoy your family.I will be following your adventures and thoughts on "Issues of The Day".
Your friend,Bob Derry NH

WHAT!!!!? MOE WHY are you leaving? I didn't catch the end of the sat radio show. I went to get coffee. I listen every Saturday. Please explain on your blog. I tried to leave a comment but forgot my user name and password.Im heart broken. I've been listening to you since the beginning
Fran NH

Dear Moe:

I cannot believe this morning's announcement. I am totally saddened by it. I plan my Saturday mornings around listening to your show. I hated it when it was cut back to 9:00 a.m. I have really enjoyed listening to you all the years you have been on wrko either as a host or fill in. I have especially enjoyed the talks with the folks in the armed services be it Iraq or the guy looking for baseball gloves or wherever else they may be calling from. I find it puts a real human face to the reality which is ignored by the media - that these are good people doing good things. I was looking forward to hearing about your meeting with the fellow who has recently returned.

How am I to get my amusing baseball fix . . . being a red sox fan it your comments (good or critical) pretty nearly matched mine, as do our political thoughts.

Hopefully some smart programming manager will snap you up within hours and you will be back on the airwaves soon.

Enjoy Florida.

Thanks for adding so much to my life - humor, insight, sharing the bad/sad/good news with me. I will miss you.

Colleen Quincy, MA

Dear Moe-
I normally am in my car driving from the Cape to Boston every Saturday morning and have listened to you for years. Today happened to be one Saturday when I stayed home. I happened to turn on the radio during the last few minutes of your signing off, just in time to get the drift of what was happening with you. I know that you are leaving WRKO, but missed all explanations regarding that. I hope more will be posted on your blog.I am so sorry that you will not be my driving companion on future Saturdays. It has been a pleasure to listen to someone not afraid or hesitant to speak his thoughts on the 'issues of the day.' Thanks for all your past shows. Looking forward to hearing you back on radio somewhere, sometime.
Clare

Moe what happened ??? will write later
Peg

Moe
I just heard you sign off the air and I'm in shock. I've been listening to you more years than I can remember. Loved your show, and I'm so sad over this latest wrinkle at WRKO. Thank you for keeping me very well informed on current events. Also for sharing your family and their doings your audience. All I can wish for you, your wife, children (now adults) and you grandchildren
is all the best life has to offer. May you all be wrapped safely in the arms of "The Almighty".
Bless you Moe, your a real gentleman,
Ellen, Hingham MA

Dear Moe,
I am very sorry to hear you are leaving wrko. I heard the last minute of your show this morning and was shocked and saddened to hear the news. I have always respected your intellect and your good old fashioned common sense. I don't understand the reason why you are leaving, but I wish you and your great family the best. I hope to hear you on the radio maybe somewhere else sometime soon.
Best of luck to you.
Kathleen

Hi Moe,
I was completely dumfounded by your announcement this morning. I had listened to most of the show except from about 8:00 to 8:45 and picked up no inkling of what was to come. My immediate response was to post a note to the SAVE WRKO website, which though I’m sure the station does not acknowledge, you know about it. I look forward to what other correspondents write. (http://www.savewrko.com/).As an avid talk show listener, I hope you know that you hosts really become friends and part of our days. In fact I mark the passage of time during the days and nights of the week not by a clock, but by who’s on, mostly on WRKO. The website mentioned above has let me correspond with others of such a mindset. We are not happy with the way things are going at WRKO, and I take your departure personally. You may be aware that your show has been discussed occasionally on the site, both favorably and critically, but always by people who do care about you and your fellow hosts.By way of identification, I have called your show a few times this past year (“long time, first time”), even just last week and I have sent some E-mails. I always proclaim myself your Number One Fan among Boston’s Bicycle Commuters.
Jim from Boston

Oh Moe,
you will be missed. Thanks for all your years of wonderful radio. I hope we can still read your musings on your web site. Best wishes to you and yours.....
Jonnie, Westford

Hi, Moe,
I only heard the last bit of your announcement that you're leaving WRKO. My husband and I are so sorry to learn that as we always enjoy listening to you. I don't know what's going on at that statiom . . .

Best wishes to you and Helen as you move forward to bigger and better things. If you can, tell us why you're going.

Moe,
I know you will be back on the air soon. I am a regular listener no matter what slot they have provided for you on AM radio. Don't know what WRKO is thinking but I'm sure it has to do with ratings and sponsors! I know a lot about this as I have a relative on WEEI. I will miss waking up on Saturday mornings and listening to your opinions about issues of the day and your great knowledge of sports. You and I don't always agree on issues but it is great to hear an opposite intelligent opinion of the issue. Makes people stop and think a minute which is so valuable.

Perhaps an AM or FM station will soon realize how valuable you are. For the time being I'll have to be satisfied with your blog. Good luck with whatever you do.

Fondly,
Pat
The following is a compilation of comments left in today's Boston Herald story "No More Moe on WRKO" by Renee Nadeau:

DfromCapeCod
What's next ? Closing the studio and braodcasting out of a trailer next to the broadcasting tower ? Maybe Howie could broadcast from home. Isn't that what Rush does in FL ? I find infomercials to be infuriating. What does the FCC do again ? Anything ? There used to be a limit to the amount of commercial time allowed on radio. PS, WRKO, your streaming online never works properly. I used to listen to Howie every day, but I can't now. Thanks for nothing.

Moe is great...on par with Paul Sullivan...are you listening WBZ? Sign him up...or RKO...get rid of Finneran...or TKK just find a spot.!!!

Does anyone wonder if Jason wants the demise of WRKO? I thought owners/managers had their finger on what the public wants - I think their finger is somwhere else. Good Luck Moe - you are a class act. WRKO does not deserve you.

I haven't listened to WRKO, other than Moe on Saturday mornings, since Jerry Williams and Gene Burns left. 96.9 FM Talk, WTKK has taken up their legacy. Moe, let me know where you land. I'll be there. Let me know if you need a ghost writer for any of your book ideas. I can't wait for a good read! Screw WRKO.

It was only a few short years ago when this station was packed all day with great shows. Now it is a hodgepodge of crap with Howie stuck in the middle. The only correct move WRKO has made in the last 5 yrs is fight for Howie to stay. How good was JD in the AM? Fat Lesbian, big deal. No spine left at this station, that is why it is failing miserbley. Signed... New WTTK listener. Good luck MOE

Moe had a very refreshing show and I made sure to tune in when I was able to. Who turns on a radio to listen to infomercials?

Perhaps Jason Wolfe's first Info-Mercial will be for colon cleansing. I suggest they first do a colonoscopy on HIM so that they might find his HEAD.

WRKO turned me into a talk show junkie with the likes of Jerry Williams, Gene Burns, and of course Howie. After learning that Howie was trying to move to WTTK, I started to listen to it, as I never made the transition to the FM dial. Now, outside of Howie's show, you can find me there. Jason's moves will only reduce his audiences and cost the station money in the long run, or I suppose he knows that as he has given up on talk show talent to whore the station out to the highest bidder. Thanks for Howie, my drive time companion. Keep calling it like it is in this Moonbat listening area. My reality check living in Massachusetts.

Yeah, Jason, continue to replace good local talk with informercials. How are those infomercials supposed to make $$ when nobody is listening? Moe, you're a class act. I will go to your blog "issuesoftheday.com" to find out where you land. Don't let those corporate toadies get you down. God bless.

I hope Moe ends up on WTKK on Saturday mornings- I used to change my morning food shopping time so I could listen to him talk to the 'boots on the ground' No wonder Howie tried so hard to get outta there!

I have always found trying to listen to AM radio to be very painful. It is 2008 and there is much better media technology out there. Why does crappy, static sounding, lose the signal going under a bridge AM continue to exist? That said, I do like Howie Carr and try to listen to him when I can get a signal. WRKO will soon be out of business. They over extended themselves to get the Red Sox broadcasts and to retain Howie. They are going broke. Infomercials means money they desperately need.

Get rid of Wolfe
Hey Jason, someone needs to show YOU the door. The Finneran loser is bad enough but now Moe is out for info-mercials??? Infomercials? ya right, we'll be bustin our **ses to tune in... Goodbye RKO..changing that button on my car radio to WTTK tomorrow morning. Jason, you're a loser.

WTF
Ok, phony email. I disagreed With Moe and sent an email. He responded in about an hour and I've respected that and been a faithful listener since. I listen to his show, the rest of the time it's my Sirius radio. Hate to see Moe go, but I'll listen wherever. Best of luck, Moe !

If WRKO can make more dough auctioning off airtime in half-hour blocks to advertisers, why not fire the entire airstaff and go all-infomercial 24/7? Isn't that where Jason Wolfe's argument logically leads? Entercom lost $10 million dollars in the last quarter. David Field, are you listening???

If WRKO can make more dough auctioning off airtime in half-hour blocks to advertisers, why not fire the entire airstaff and go all-infomercial 24/7? All income, no overhead. David Field, are you listening???

Pat in Tokyo
WRKO=We Really Kill Ourselves. Entercom's treatment of Depetro, Scotto (even though I don't like him), Todd (even though I don't like hime either), Howie, and now Moe shows their level of loyalty to their fan base. Moe, good luck. I've always loved listening to you. Not too long ago I sent you an email during a show and you wrote back to me during a commercial. Class.

Amazing, you dump on the good people and yet you keep a convicted felon, who is a Piece of Shxt.

FOOLS AT WRKO
At WRKO the cream always rises to the top, keeping an old fool like Tommy Felon, and dumping Moe. I have other radio stations to listen to on Saturdays.

Ahhhh...the old 'Paid Programming' trick: getting revenue that's really just pure profit. No-cost revenue. Boston TV stations love playing that game on weekend afternoons. Need a vacuum? Turn to one of the quote-unquote 'BIG' Boston TV stations any Saturday afternoon and you'll find one. Need a new set of kitchen knives? Check in on Sunday. Someone has to pay for hack TV anchors like Ed Harding and all the rest, because they sure aren't bringing in the bacon on their own. So now this lovely paradigm finds its way to the esteemed (OK...maybe that isn't the word) halls at WRKO. Paid Programming on radio. A cost-free money grab from a money-losing radio station. How blatantly obvious. WRKO has been in complete free-fall for over the past year. Acerbic management, talent-less talent, and a night-time signal powered by gerbils, In fact, during the fall and winter WRKO's morning and afternoon drive-time signal is putrid. Laughable. Live beyond Westborough, you cannot hear it. Put me in the camp of people who no longer listen to WRKO. I haven't since this time last year. My iPod kicked WRKO to the curb. I don't even listen to WEEI because my bullet is aimed at Entercom. Do I enjoy helping to contribute to declining ratings at both stations? You betcha!

WRKO already fills up a lot of its Saturday by selling air time to snake oil salesmen and fraudsters claiming to be doctors but selling bogus herbal remedies or, whole life insurance fraudsters pretending to be Financial Planners. At some point, somebody who gets screwed by these fraudsters should sue WRKO. After all, the majority of listeners tune in & out in the middle, and won’t hear the lame "paid programming" announcement that WRKO uses to duck responsibility for their enabling criminal activity.

I'm a younger listener....mid 40's . Yet I began listening at 18 with Gene Burns and Gerry William. WRKO has been a part of most of my life. I was trying to give WRKO the benefit of the doubt and see how they faired out after the last 18 months of turmoil (I'm glad Peter Blute got out - good for him). Howie is there because he is stuck. I'll give him my blessing to prostitute himself as far as he can with that place as it is not his fault given he tried to leave. Yet Moe? This really is the final straw. Moe was the reason I looked forward to Saturday morning. He is a class act. His shining, stellar performance transended my listening life at WRKO. I'll never forget the great work he did during our bloodless revolution in the aftermath of the 2000 Florida re-count. More recently his talk with soldiers in IRAQ in the morning was what we really needed - to hear the "real story" from the "boots on the ground". Hey Jason - you'll never get great radio like this from paid syndicated infomercials. Duh!!!
