I've selected a cross sample of the emails we have received during the last 24 hours. I began answering them individually but soon realized it was an impossible task. I'm truly sorry I can't reply to all, a day is only 24 hours long. I hope you understand the dilemma. Moe, I have listened to you for so many years and have always enjoyed your show. You are unfailingly a gentleman in every sense - even when the occasional knucklehead got you agitated. You were always well informed and entertaining, whether I agreed with the issue or not - though I usually did! And when you made your announcement today, you did it with real class. I'm not sure everybody could resist the opportunity to take a parting shot.Being a sales-beast for the last 25 years, I always felt that we had something in common beyond our political views. That just made the show that much better. You are hands-down one of the very best in the business. Your Saturday morning show was literally appointment radio for me. It was you, me and a cup of coffee, every Saturday. And when I was on the road, I'd get to an internet connection and keep the appointment.I have e-mailed my dismay to WRKO, though I'm sure it's too late for it to matter. The only decent local talent left is Howie, and it's clear that the battle with Entercom has taken some of the snap out his fast ball. I fear that Entercom is presiding over the death of WRKO as a meaningful talk entity in Boston. Before the hiring of Finneran, I always felt that WRKO was on the side of "us" - the little guy who needs a voice in the world. Jerry Williams was a real proponent of "us". He single-handedly created and nutrured the idea that the little guy could ave a voice, and if organized, could even have an impact. And the great Gene Burns was right there with him.But hiring a politician - especially a disgraced, convicted felon - revealed that the station isn't on the "us" side. It's not even on the "them" side. WRKO is solidly on the side of "WRKO". And they're even making a mess of that. I really believe that they're killing what was once the shining beacon of talk radio, and it is profoundly sad.I hope that WTKK is watching and has the presence of mind to make you an offer. And I hope that you accept it.I will really miss you on Saturday mornings. Good luck and God bless you in whatever you do.-- Charlie
We're surprised and saddened that you're leaving WRKO and what a nasty way for you have received the news. (Mr. Wolfe, shame on you for such shoddy treatment of an old friend.) Sour grapes seem perfectly okay under the circumstances! We always start our Saturday mornings with you on the radio and have for years. My first real recollection of you is when Arthur was born, we especially shared your joy because that was about the time of the arrival of our first grandchild. We've missed very few mornings with you since then.
We share your political views, appreciate your interviews with our brave soldiers and love hearing of your love of baseball and especially those winning Red Sox. Even when they weren't winning we all still had hope! Perhaps if you had managed the campaign for Christy Mihos Mr. Patrick wouldn't be the governor. You gave us all so many insights and possibilities.
I sent an email to RKO about a month ago complaining that your time had been shortened and the informercials they are currently running. Awful, awful things. I will do so again.
We will check in with Issues of the Day and hope to hear of you coming back on the air, somewhere, sometime. You have so much to offer. Meanwhile, enjoy your trip to the sunshine state with your bride and watching Arthur play baseball. Thank you for so many enlightening and enjoyable mornings and especially your strength and insights after 9/11.
Best wishes to you and your family

Dear Moe,
I wish you all the best. You are a great person and a great talkmaster. WRKO made a serious mistake. If they were smart, they would have canceled Finnerin's show and placed you in the morning drive time slot Monday to Friday. You would really give Imus a run. Hope you soon (after your Florida Vacation) get another gig in Boston (WTTK) or the Cape (95.1)
Your fans already miss you.
Unlike the management person who conceived the idea of how to inform you that your show was canceled, YOU ARE A CLASS ACT.
When your show ended, the infomercial financial show came on the air. Dead air would be an improvement over that infomercial. This is not a good trend for weekend radio. Time to turn on the I Pod.
I would like to thank you for giving me the chance to go on your WSAR talk show in 1982.. Less than a year later, you were on WRKO. When you called my office that July, I joked with my part-time secretary that you had called to invite me to appear on WRKO. When I returned your call, I was really shocked to find out that I was right. What a thrill for a young Fall River Lawyer to be a guest on a Boston Radio Talk show. I will never forget that day. Thanks again.
I wish you and your family all the best. Be well.
Rick
Hi Moe
Just read your blog can't believe they treated you like this I knew there was something wrong between 8 and 9 when u went to sports after 25 years I will add later just to upset

Moe,
You will be sorely missed from the Boston Radio scene. You are probably the only radio person in Boston who could find Southeastern Massachusetts on a map. Certainly none of them know where Dighton is. It was always refreshing to hear some comments that touched close to home.
Saturday morning just won't be the same.
Some of my favorite memories:
Interviews with our wonderful service people in Iraq. You did a great service putting them on the air.
The 2000 election which dragged on forever and where it was "all Moe, all the time" on WRKO.
Then there was the Christmas a few years ago where you talked along for several hours with no phone calls. What a trouper! It must have seemed like an eternity. But, there was at least one person listening, me. I guess I should have called.
So long, my friend. Let us all know when you pop up somewhere else.

Moe,
It is with a true sad heart that I write this. I have enjoyed listening to you since I arrived in this state in 1989 from the backwoods of Oklahoma to go to school. Somehow almost 20 years later I am still here.... Damn! Time sure can pass you by.
WRKO is no longer a station I can listen too. Your removal was the final nail in a coffin that has been creepin' closed since a certain person took over morning drive. What was once a great station from the pioneering days of "Talk Radio" has now relegated itself to the ashtray of forgotten AM bands.
Until I find something else worth listening to on the radio I will now figure out how to operate my CD player in my truck.
I hope nothing but the best for you and if that best includes more radio than so be it! Of course, if I could or can be of any help......... just ask.
Ciao!
J.Mark
I can't say that I'm surprised that WRKO has treated you the way they did. I have no respect for this radio station. If it weren't for Howie's show I'd never tune it in at all. They take you off the air - a really decent person - and leave on for 4hrs/da, 5 days/wk a federally convicted felon! Along with you, I wish Christy Mihos would run again for governor. Thank you for so many wonderful Saturday mornings when you came into my home and made my day.
Love, Pat
PS I'll keep in touch by reading your blog, and my best wishes for all your future adventures.
Hi Moe,
I'm very sorry to see you go ! I woke-up every Saturday with you on WRKO, I enjoyed the (7am) various Servicemen from Iraq... SUPER !
I'm age 59, soon to hit the BIG 60....
I've been a Talk Radio Junkie since I use to listen to the Jerry Williams Show
on WMEX on my Crystal Radio Set, with the antenna attached the baseboard radiator in my bedroom, I was 10 years old ! I use to catch you on ( I think)
WHJJ when I was in RI, now I listen to John Deptro on 630 am...
I'm a Traveling Salesman like you were, my travels only took me around
New England, mostly selling High-Tech computer driven stuff, in the 1980's it was Fax Machines for Ricoh Corp... Now-a-days I do what I would call a Low-Tech
sale, mostly to Spanish speaking businesses for the last 8 years. It's a living, lots of miles, covering Ri, Hartford, Ma, Maine & NH. At least they give me .50 cents per mile plus expenses. The ONLY problem is I have to buy a New car just about every
15 to 18 months. I added all the miles I have driven by keeping records on each of the 41 cars I have owned , I have driven almost TWO Million Miles ! I try to keep the mileage on each car under 80,000 then trade them. In some tough financial times I had to keep a car to 150-170 miles... This is not the way to go as repairs get
severe money wise. On 2-20-08 I just picked up a New 2008 Ford Taurus, trading in my 2006 Mercury Montego ( same as Taurus) . This is the BEST one yet with a New & improved engine with 268 horse power ! ( from 200 before) The car weighs
3950 pounds, very Safe & now Fast ! My last 12 cars were Ford products.
Just for the record I use to communicate via-fax and E-mail with the Howie Carr show, they knew me as: " THE WASP" ... I have not listened to Howie for about two years, I find the Program VERY boring..now. I do find Tom Finnerin
VERY interesting however.. FAST-PASTED and Quick witted !
The Financial Guy that followed your show OH GAUD ! What a DRONE !
I kinda like Ellen , BUT as a Democrate.. she can Drive you nuts ! I KNOW what she needs.... a GOOD roll in the hay... HARD & FAST, maybe with duct-tape over her mouth ! Then Mary Ellen Burns, I find her interesting BUT she takes herself TOO
serious, today she got Pissed at some Caller, really over Nothing.. HE hung up on Her ! Lately I find myself listening to 850am, I do enjoy some of the shows.
There was NO-ONE on the Radio like Jerry Williams ! I did however ENJOY every minute of your Show ! (You & Jim were good too on Sunday's.) I was listening when Arthur was born, my son was born in August 1983, he is a good stable, drug & drink-free Church Going kid, with a nice church going girl friend I have had NO problems with him. I divorced my Cheating wife of 27 years in 1998, I got 100%custody of my son, he still lives with me, for now. I'm still single, She remarried.
I too like Cristie , too bad he did not become our Governor.. I listened with GREAT interest the day you guys talked about the NEW- High-Tech Wind Mills. There is a Solar Company in Newburyport , Ma. called Solar Edison, they have Solar panels & Solar CARS ! even a few Electric Cars. They are located on Bridge Road. There is a 100% electric car called the Tesler Roadster, made in California. This is a GREAT looking sports car that can go about 350 miles on a single charge, it does Zero to 60 MPH in under 6 seconds ! Two things, they have already taken all the orders they can for 2008, you have to wait until the 2009 model ! Oh, almost forgot
they do Cost $98,000.00 each.. ( two-seater)
I guess I have covered it all. I will miss you Moe on the Radio, But will be looking in on your Blog...
Best wishes, Nate

Moe, Loved your show, I was just telling my 22 yr old daughter (who was home from college for the weekend) that her and a certain baseball fan friend would love your show. When I came on line to get the web site for her I was shocked! I was saddened to see that your show will no longer be on air. Much more so that the next generation wouldn't hear you. THANK YOU for your service
I'll look for you in other formats
